Partnerships
We like to call all entities that work with us "partners". Be they either organisational, financial, media or any other sort of contributor, we strive to maintain a long lasting partnership based on common values and mutual respect from which everybody involved stands to gain.
Voice
We know how to strike a balance between official and friendly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect in both manners. New York Crew always maintains a professional persona in matters concerning external bodies (partners, applicants, general public, etc.), but a friendly and familiar one within the organization. This is true despite the difference in rank or hierarchy between members. Our favourite conversation starters are: creativity, overcoming your limits, Follow your passion!, adventure, alternative(s), culture, learning by doing, and the community.
Organisational culture
Taking into account the profile of the perfect Crewer and the voices present both inside and outside of the organization, we can state that the culture of New York Crew is open-minded, ready for new challenges, yet always friendly and professional. We are a young group of success-driven people who respect and support each other and give our best to overcome our limits. We have international cultural backgrounds with an entrepreneurial mindset, and we invest continuously to broaden our horizons.
Target audience
New York Crew's main target audience is represented by men and women aged between 14 and 35, who live in urban areas and who are open to overcoming their limits through alternative sports and urban culture. Secondly, regardless of age, we address ourselves to anyone who is keen on protecting nature.
Perfect member
We know that being the perfect member is a hard-to-achieve mission, but we truly believe any Crewer should strive to have the following traits in their spiritual portfolio: innovation, individuality, self-confidence, non-conformity, self-irony, professionalism, mysticism, ingenuity, creativity, a relaxed attitude, authenticity, a polarizing personality, a life-loving character, unpredictability, optimism, strength, sophistication, energy, naturality, courage, responsiveness.
Our perfect member should always have their attention on our target-audience, by focusing on the needs of our athletes and artists, but also our partners; by getting out into the market and listening, observing and learning; by possessing a world view of their own; by flawlessly executing day-by-day tasks; and by being insatiably curious.
At the same time, they should work smart: act with urgency whenever needed, remain responsive to change, have the courage to change course when needed; constantly strive to improve; work efficiently.
The perfect Crewer should work in the spirit of entrepreneurship, by: taking responsibility for their actions or inactivity; serving system assets and focus on contribution to its values; serving our mission by taking risks when necessary and finding better solutions to problems; learning from their own failure and success - what worked out and what didn’t, and why it played out so.
Last, but not least, the perfect member should represent the embodiment of our brand: inspire creativity, passion, optimism, professionalism and fun.
