Founding Members

The concept of New York Crew began in 2008 in Galati, in eastern Romania. Our founding members are Ionut Alessandru, Madalin Corneliu and Sabin-Emilian.

General Assembly

New York Crew’s GA is the supreme forum of our organization, deciding the membership of the Board of Managers and the membership of the Audit Committee.

Board of Managers

Our Board of Managers is an executive body that is made up of elected members who have experience in volunteering, alternative sports, urban culture, search and rescue and youth policies.

This board is in charge with aspects such as budgets, new endeavors, organization policy, general strategies, and project management concerns.

Audit Committee

New York Crew’s Audit Committee is a committee that is responsible for oversight of the financial reporting process, selection of the independent auditor, and receipt of audit results both internal and external.

The Audit Committee assists our board of managers to fulfil its corporate governance and overseeing responsibilities in relation to our financial reporting, internal control system, risk management system and internal and external audit functions. Its role is to provide advice and recommendations to the board within the scope of its terms of reference / charter.

Steering Committee

Our Steering Committee is an advisory body that is made up of founding members, actual members, a member of the Board of Managers and experts that provide guidance on many different issues that our organization could face such as budgets, new endeavors, organization policy, general marketing strategies, and project management concerns.

Alumni Circle Committee

The Alumni Circle Committee is a non-formal board that has one main goal: bringing our beloved alumni together by coordinating the Alumni Circle, a new initiative that creates vibrant alumni local communities, supportive networks, and an interactive connection with the organization.
